Hello Singers!
Here are all the rehearsal files to help you practice. They are divided into the individual parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), and each one contains all the songs we are learning.
Soprano
Alto
Tenor
Bass
Children's Parts
For the Children's parts, they need to listen to the Soprano files for "Oh, May My Soul" and "With Songs Of Praise"
Once you've downloaded the file, simply unzip it, then you can pick the song, play it on your computer, burn it to a CD, or sync it to your mp3 player.
Enjoy!

THIS IS GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI downloaded the file, unzipped it, and added the song to my iPod.
I am listening to the songs right now!
This will help a lot.
Thank you.
This was so easy to use!!! thank you so much! Is it possible to get the music with all parts too?
ReplyDeleteI second Lance's suggestion. May we please have music will all parts?

ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to get 4 singers together to do that as a service, and to find a common time.Perhaps there are people in the stakes that really know all the parts and are willing to get together and create it?
DeleteThe parts for Press Forward Saints can be found on the Church website at http://www.lds.org/music/library/hymns/press-forward-saints?lang=eng
ReplyDeleteClick on the Parts drop-down to change the volume on the parts that you don't want to hear (or want to hear more softly).
Pro Tip: If you're listening on your computer and using Windows Media Player, press Ctrl + Shift + G to speed up the playback. Especially useful for On This Day of Joy and Gladness, though even that's not quite up to speed! Quality goes down a bit, but it's a good way to test if you know that part!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that only sees three songs for the altos?
ReplyDeleteThe hymns aren't done yet - full plate... I'll work on getting them done Friday. But the three hard ones are there ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Been working on those. I am downloading the songs from LDS.org but it's just not the same as hearing your voice :)
DeletePlease, we need the entire songs, so we can practice coming in on the right notes at the right time. Even if someone just played all 4 parts it would be helpful, or while all 4 parts are being played someone could just sing the children's part. It is very difficult for us to practice together as is when our family is singing 4 different parts. Thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteGregg Platt has given the link to find "Press Forward Saints", on LDS.org. (Thank you Gregg!)
ReplyDeleteHere are the links to "With Songs of Praise" and "Oh, May My Soul Commune With Thee". These are sung with all of the parts.

If you click on "Vocals and Music" on the right, you can download these songs to your computer.
