My husband video taped the songs for me. Here are the YouTube links. Sorry the sound isn't as good as I'd like. He also wasn't allowed to get close enough to actually pan in on faces. Three comments from me: First -- darn, we sound good! Second, we look a little bit slumpy to me. Maybe more attention to posture?? Third, we also fidget a lot. Some of this might go away when we're actually performing.

I just thought I'd share a couple of pictures from last night's rehearsal :) You've done so much work! We will all be blessed this Saturday as we sing for the first time in the Conference Center. You are in my prayers.

Hello all :)

I've been thinking about you since I left rehearsal last night. I wondered if you knew how beautiful you sound. Your singing is becoming lovely and full, allowing you to be so expressive with the tone and text. I walked out of there last night on cloud nine!

Thank you all for being willing to do more than you dreamed possible. Now, dream about memorizing the music :)  It will come with work and prayer - I promise!

Hello everyone :)

I've sent the two hymns for the alto part so all of the parts should be complete.

I also sent files of piano playing all parts from beginning to end on Love At Home, I Know that My Savior, and On This Day. You should be able to practice your own part along with that and hear how your part fits in. PLEASE excuse the few mistakes. Learn your part from the part file, then sing along to the piano recordings.

I am concerned that the children memorize the hymns. They need to sing the soprano part on
all the hymns:

On This Day - V.1 and 3, plus refrains.
Oh May My Soul V.1-3
With Songs of Praise all verses
Press Forward Saints all verses

Quick Update

Just a quick update on the specifics of the Dress Rehearsal and performance at the Conference Center, which we discussed last week.

Dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday morning, from 9:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m.
Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. Enter through Door 8.
Also note that family is invited to attend the dress rehearsal.

On the day of Conference, October 5th, arrive at 11:00 a.m.  
Park under the Church Office Building at the North Temple entrance ramp.
Enter the Conference Center through Doors 1 & 3, near the Conference Center Little Theater on the west side of the building.

I think I've finally figured out how to do this ;) Cross your fingers!

Brothers and Sisters,

Last night after we got home, it was hard to stop thinking about you all, about the beautiful sounds, the smiles on your faces (yes, even those who are feeling overwhelmed), and the spirit you bring as you focus your energies on being the very best you can be. That's all the Lord ever asks of us, and you are doing so with great willingness and humility. I feel so blessed to be working with such good people.

Thank you for taking time this week to work on your parts and memorization. We have 2 more rehearsals before dress rehearsal in the Conference Center! It will come faster than you realize, so all your efforts to prepare will pay off.

I keep you in my prayers, as I know many of you do. The Lord will bless all "our efforts day by day."

Hello Singers!

Here are all the rehearsal files to help you practice. They are divided into the individual parts (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), and each one contains all the songs we are learning.

Children's Parts

For the Children's parts, they need to listen to the Soprano files for "Oh, May My Soul" and "With Songs Of Praise"

Once you've downloaded the file, simply unzip it, then you can pick the song, play it on your computer, burn it to a CD, or sync it to your mp3 player.
